Meet Luca | Volunteer Spotlight

Luca started at Own It last September as a student intern from Winters Mill High School. Since then he has worked with students in Turning Tides, Rise Up, and Discover You.
We're highlighting his accomplishments in this volunteer spotlight.
Luca's drive to make a difference makes him a natural mentor. He gained confidence as a leader while assisting youth with distance learning and mentoring peers at Rise Up. He is a reliable source of support through the positive developments and the obstacles our youth face.
Now, he leads Discover You, a group program for students in elementary school.
With encouragement from our staff, Luca has pushed himself to build deeper relationships with youth who create strong protective walls around themselves. His commitment to this relationship building has helped one youth in particular feel more comfortable expressing empathy for others.
We are happy to have Luca on our team and know he will continue to #bethechange for Carroll's youth.
